The Investment & Transaction Lead will help deliver Great British Energy's investment strategy by identifying, evaluating and executing renewable energy investment opportunities across either Onshore technologies (wind, solar and storage) or Deepwater Offshore Wind. The role involves leading commercial negotiations, managing due diligence, developing investment cases and presenting recommendations to support investment decisions. Working closely with technical, legal and financial colleagues, the successful candidate will help build GBE's clean energy portfolio and accelerate projects that support the UK's net-zero ambitions.
The Investment Portfolio Officer (Energy Projects) will support the monitoring and stewardship of Great British Energy’s energy-project investment portfolio, ensuring performance, risk and value are assessed consistently after financial close. Working across Investment, Finance, Risk, Legal, Strategy and Delivery teams, the role will oversee portfolio monitoring frameworks, analyse project performance against approved investment objectives and risk appetite, and provide clear insight to support effective investment oversight and decision-making across GBE’s energy deployment portfolio.
The Transaction Modelling Officer will support Great British Energy’s financial modelling capability, providing robust and consistent analysis to inform investment, commercial and portfolio decisions. Working across pipeline, transaction and portfolio activities, the role will assess opportunities, commercial options and downside scenarios, while promoting modelling best practice and delivering clear, actionable insights to support effective decision-making.
