The Knowledge Information Manager will play a central role in supporting and developing Great British Energy's information governance and compliance function, with the postholder establishing the frameworks, policies, and processes required to ensure information is managed securely, transparently, and in line with legal and regulatory obligations.
The Chief Digital & Information Officer will be responsible for establishing and leading Great British Energy’s digital, data, technology and AI function, playing a critical role in building the organisation’s digital capabilities from the ground up, ensuring technology and data are embedded at the heart of decision-making, and organisational growth.
We are recruiting for two Policy and Strategy Lead roles.
The Strategic Policy Lead will ensure Great British Energy’s strategy is informed by robust, evidence-based policy positions and aligned with shareholder and wider government priorities. They work closely with senior stakeholders across government to coordinate policy development, provide strategic advice, and shape the organisation’s long-term direction.
The Regulatory Policy Lead will work with commercial, development and investment teams to identify and address regulatory issues that could impact the delivery of Great British Energy’s objectives. They develop evidence-based policy positions, influence policymakers and stakeholders, and act as a key link between operational teams and regulatory decision-makers.
The Customer Engagement Managers will be responsible for building the relationships, insight and evidence that keep everything Great British Energy Local builds and delivers genuinely connected to the people it's meant to serve.
The Customer Engagement Coordinators will work closely alongside the Customer Engagement Manager and the wider engagement team to deliver events, sessions, and outreach across a wide landscape including community energy groups, local authorities, charities, businesses, developers, innovators, and energy system leaders.
The Capacity and Capability Service Manager will play a critical role in ensuring that GBE’s capability and capacity service delivers support to communities and local authorities to provide advice, guidance and technical assistance and lead the development of standard delivery models.
The Capacity and Capability Coordinator will be responsible for developing and delivering the service to support and enable communities and local authorities to establish community energy groups, develop projects and standardise delivery models.
The Director of Compliance and Ethics will be responsible for establishing Great British Energy’s compliance function from the ground up, leading the design, implementation and ongoing operation of the organisation’s compliance and ethics framework. Integral to this role will be an understanding of GBE’s status as a private limited company wholly owned by Government and subject to regulation as an investor in energy projects and businesses, an energy company and as a publicly funded entity.
Great British Energy is seeking three Onshore/Offshore Investment Support/Sector Specialist to support the assessment and delivery of investment opportunities across the onshore clean energy sector. These roles will provide specialist market insight, commercial analysis, and investment support, helping to identify opportunities, evaluate projects, and contribute to investment decisions that support the UK's energy transition and Great British Energy’s strategic objectives
This role is responsible for designing, structuring and leading the commercial model that underpins GBE Local’s portfolio – ensuring that its products, projects and partnerships are financially robust, scalable and capable of unlocking significant levels of public and private investment.
The Director of Delivery – Local Energy is responsible for leading the development of GBE delivery model for community and local energy projects, particularly behind the meter solar and battery projects. Enabling GBE to translate the ambition of the Local Power Plan into tangible outcomes for communities, local authorities and the wider public sector.
The Head of Health, Safety, Wellbeing & Security will be responsible in shaping and embedding Great British Energy's approach to health, safety, wellbeing and security as the organisation grows. Reporting at a strategic level, the postholder will develop and lead the HSWS framework, governance structures, management systems and cultural initiatives that support GBE's ambition to become a leading public energy company.
