The Principal Enterprise Architect will play a critical role in shaping and delivering Great British Energy’s enterprise architecture strategy, ensuring that technology, data, security and business capabilities are aligned to support the organisation’s long-term objectives. The role combines strategic planning, architecture governance, stakeholder engagement and technology leadership, working closely with senior leaders, digital teams and business functions across the organisation. The postholder will lead the development of target architectures, establish technology standards and best practices, oversee architectural assurance, and provide expert guidance on complex business and digital transformation initiatives. They will support the evaluation and optimisation of technology investments, promote innovation and secure-by-design principles, and ensure that digital solutions are scalable, efficient and aligned with GBE’s strategic ambitions, helping to build a resilient and future-ready technology landscape.
The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) will provide strategic leadership for cyber security, information assurance and risk management across Great British Energy, ensuring the protection of critical systems, data and technology services. The role is responsible for developing and embedding enterprise-wide security frameworks, policies and controls, while driving a strong security culture across the organisation and ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory and governance requirements. Working closely with executive leaders, digital and technology teams, and external partners, the postholder will lead security operations, cyber resilience, risk management and assurance activities, providing expert advice to senior stakeholders and supporting informed decision-making. The CISO will play a key role in safeguarding GBE’s digital assets, strengthening organisational resilience, managing emerging cyber threats, and ensuring security considerations are integrated into business planning, digital transformation programmes and operational delivery to support GBE’s mission of delivering clean, secure, home-grown energy.
