Submission of an EOI does not represent a commitment by GBE to provide funding or finance, nor is it a formal application.
No funding or support is being committed at this EOI stage. Any future consideration of funding will be subject to formal due diligence, subsidy control compliance, and separate agreement. This EOI is for information-gathering purposes only and does not constitute an award.
Further, this EOI is not a tender or an offer of contract, and it creates no binding obligations on GBE. GBE may alter or cancel the EOI process at any time without liability. Participating or not participating in this EOI will not advantage or disadvantage any party in any future procurement.
GBE is a public body and therefore subject to the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIR), as well as being required to disclose certain information to the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, the National Audit Office and HM Treasury. If any content is commercially sensitive, please mark it as such. While confidentiality cannot be guaranteed, we recognise that some of the information you provide may be commercially sensitive and GBE will seek to ensure commercially sensitive information is kept confidential so far as that is consistent with the public interest in disclosure, including consideration of any relevant exemption under FOIA and EIR, regarding commercially sensitive and confidential information. Any intellectual property in your submission remains yours but you grant us permission to use it.

This section of the form may serve as a first initial method to request that GBE make an investment in a project. GBE may, at its own discretion, follow up with some organisations to explore projects in more detail. Any such engagement would be exploratory only. Any future investment discussions would be subject to further due diligence, development of a business case, and appropriate approvals.
Generally, please note that GBE will handle any personal data provided in this form in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. The information is being collected to evaluate your EOI (under an appropriate lawful basis), and will be used only for this purpose. Please do not include any sensitive personal data (e.g. information about health, ethnicity, or political opinions) in your answers.
A member of the Great British Energy local team will review the information you submit.
As our team is still scaling up and we cannot commit to invest or support every project directly, we may not be able to respond directly to every submission. However, we will add your details to our database and aim to keep you informed about relevant products and services as they are developed.
