The Capacity and Capability Service Manager will play a critical role in ensuring that GBE’s capability and capacity service delivers support to communities and local authorities to provide advice, guidance and technical assistance and lead the development of standard delivery models.
The Capacity and Capability Coordinator will be responsible for developing and delivering the service to support and enable communities and local authorities to establish community energy groups, develop projects and standardise delivery models.
The Director of Compliance and Ethics will be responsible for establishing Great British Energy’s compliance function from the ground up, leading the design, implementation and ongoing operation of the organisation’s compliance and ethics framework. Great British Energy is seeking three Onshore/Offshore Investment Support/Sector Specialist to support the assessment and delivery of investment opportunities across the onshore clean energy sector. These roles will provide specialist market insight, commercial analysis, and investment support, helping to identify opportunities, evaluate projects, and contribute to investment decisions that support the UK's energy transition and Great British Energy’s strategic objectives
This role is responsible for designing, structuring and leading the commercial model that underpins GBE Local’s portfolio – ensuring that its products, projects and partnerships are financially robust, scalable and capable of unlocking significant levels of public and private investment.
The Director of Delivery – Local Energy is responsible for leading the development of GBE delivery model for community and local energy projects, particularly behind the meter solar and battery projects. Enabling GBE to translate the ambition of the Local Power Plan into tangible outcomes for communities, local authorities and the wider public sector.
The Head of Health, Safety, Wellbeing & Security will be responsible in shaping and embedding Great British Energy's approach to health, safety, wellbeing and security as the organisation grows. Reporting at a strategic level, the postholder will develop and lead the HSWS framework, governance structures, management systems and cultural initiatives that support GBE's ambition to become a leading public energy company.
The Onshore Supply Chain Strategy Lead will play a key role in shaping and delivering supply chain strategies that support the growth of the UK’s clean energy sector. Working closely with industry partners, government stakeholders and internal teams, the postholder will identify opportunities to strengthen UK supply chain capability, maximise economic value, and support the successful delivery of renewable energy projects. The Investment Portfolio Officer (Valuations) will support Great British Energy’s investment activities by providing robust valuation analysis and portfolio insights across a diverse range of clean energy investments. Working closely with investment, finance and commercial colleagues, the postholder will help assess investment performance, monitor portfolio value, and support strategic decision-making through high-quality financial analysis. The Grant Appraisal and Monitoring Officers support the assessment, delivery and oversight of grant-funded projects across Great British Energy's portfolio. Working closely with applicants, delivery partners and internal stakeholders, they help ensure funding is allocated effectively, projects remain on track, and programme outcomes are achieved in line with governance and reporting requirements.
The Grid Manager will play a key role in supporting the development and delivery of Great British Energy's onshore renewable energy portfolio. Working across a range of projects, the role will lead grid connection activities from early-stage assessment through to energisation readiness, providing expert advice on grid opportunities, risks, costs and programme impacts. The successful candidate will work closely with network operators and key stakeholders to help secure viable grid connections and enable the successful delivery of renewable energy projects across the UK.
The Head of Onshore Development will lead the development and delivery of Great British Energy’s onshore renewable energy portfolio, providing strategic leadership across a range of projects including onshore wind, solar PV and battery energy storage. The role will oversee development activities from project origination through planning and consenting to delivery readiness, managing risk, stakeholder relationships and project performance. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, the successful candidate will play a key role in driving the growth of clean energy infrastructure across the UK and supporting Great British Energy’s long-term ambitions.
The Transaction Modelling Officer will support the appraisal and development of investment opportunities across Great British Energy’s growing renewable energy portfolio. The role will provide financial modelling, commercial analysis and investment evaluation expertise to help inform strategic funding decisions and assess project viability. Working closely with finance, investment and project teams, the successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of renewable energy projects that support Great British Energy’s mission to accelerate the UK’s clean energy transition.
The Transaction Structuring Lead will lead the development and execution of complex investment and funding structures across Great British Energy’s renewable energy portfolio. The role will provide strategic commercial and financial expertise, helping to shape investment approaches, manage risk and deliver value for money across a range of projects and transactions. Working closely with internal teams, government stakeholders and external partners, the successful candidate will play a key role in structuring investments that support the growth of clean energy infrastructure and the delivery of Great British Energy’s long-term objectives.
The Financial Controller will lead Great British Energy’s financial reporting, control and governance activities, ensuring compliance with public sector accounting requirements and supporting the organisation’s continued growth. The role will oversee the preparation of statutory accounts, manage external audit activity, develop accounting policies and strengthen financial controls across the business. Working closely with senior stakeholders, the successful candidate will provide expert financial leadership, helping to ensure robust governance, transparency and value for money as Great British Energy delivers its strategic objectives.
The Project Development Manager will lead the development of onshore renewable energy projects across Great British Energy’s growing portfolio. The role will oversee projects from early-stage origination through planning, consenting and delivery readiness, managing budgets, schedules, risks and stakeholder engagement activities throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams and external partners, the successful candidate will play a key role in bringing renewable energy projects forward and supporting Great British Energy’s mission to accelerate the UK’s transition to clean power.
The Knowledge Information Manager will lead the development and delivery of knowledge and information management practices across Great British Energy, ensuring information is effectively governed, organised and accessible. The role will be responsible for establishing frameworks, policies and processes that support compliance, collaboration and informed decision-making across the organisation. Working closely with stakeholders throughout the business, the successful candidate will help embed best practice in records management, information governance and knowledge sharing, supporting Great British Energy's continued growth and long-term success.
