Targeting areas of greatest need

Great British Energy and government have targeted schools and colleges primarily clustered in areas of deprivation in the North East, West Midlands and North West, ensuring support reaches the communities that need it most.

At least 10 schools in each region of England are receiving solar panels as part of this programme.

The map shows the distribution of the 100 schools across England with operational solar projects.
